I’m going to give you feedback on your artist statement as a reader response so that way you can use it to do your final revision so there’s a lot of good things in this but there’s some things that we also need to work on and revise as well so the biggest thing I’m going to talk about is your argument so in your first paragraph it looks like you want your argument to be when they meeting the the viewer listen to a song I want the viewers to feel the same thing when they see it art to me as language that does not require words in interpretation so since this is an artist statement it should be more along the lines of why should your art matter or why should people look at your art so I think that you explain that a little bit better in the to me individuals may exist in more than one place and identity simultaneously and that’s what my artistic practices based on so maybe something more along the lines of you want people to understand the Multicultural flow as you put it in that same paragraph that individuals have and to for them to understand that so maybe you can revise your argument to as such and then that will be a little bit more clear and concise and then as far as the rest of it we have do you have this connection to music which I think is fine and then you say that you have a recycled use materials so you’re talking about the mediums that you use you compare it to Music Creation so that’s kind of like your process and you have a little bit about like the emotion that you want them to understand but you have a lot of ideas here and I want to make sure that you are answering the you know how does your art relate to the art of your contemporaries you do have what influences you which is your culture and music and being Indonesian but I think that it would be best if you were a little bit more specific about that so maybe you can talk about your process of making the particular piece that you put a picture of and you can answer more specifically you know what are you doing how am I doing it why am I doing it give us more specifics about that particular piece and then how it shows that duality of cultures that you’re talking about and so that way instead of just all these ideas and these generalities you have something more specific there so that way we have an example that we can anchor ourselves in and then make sure you are addressing that question of how does your art relate to the art of your contemporaries so that way we have that answered as well.
