Overview
For behavior analysts, determining the function of problem behavior is necessary to develop effective intervention plans. This is common practice not only in clinical applications but within organizations as well. In this assignment, you will pinpoint a workplace performance problem, assess the reason why the problem exists, and identify strategies to improve performance.
Instructions
Review the scenario provided by your instructor, then use the template provided by your instructor to complete the following:
- Pinpoint the performance problem.
- Precisely define the problem behavior so that it is clear, concise, and countable. (You may make up some details to fill in the blanks to create an ideal definition.)
- Conduct a PDC assessment to determine the factors contributing to the performance problem (review the chosen scenario to determine how to answer these questions).
- List the domain and describe the area within the domain that is responsible for the performance issue.
- Review the scholarly literature and identify one strategy that would address the performance problem based on the results of the assessment. Describe generally how you would implement the strategy. Visit for help with research.
- This should be a 23 paragraph description and/or brief description with example. This part should not exceed one page.
- Your strategies should demonstrate compassionate supervisory practices.

- Written Communication: Writing should be free of errors that detract from the overall message.
