Part one Final project

In this assignment you will:

1) Select an area of interest within the field social work to research (field of interest, specific population/issue, and an evidenced-based intervention)

• E.g., Domestic violence / middle-aged, male offenders / male domestic violence toward women / Certified Batterer Intervention Programs (CBIPs)

2) Identify two peer-reviewed scholarly articles about this particular area of social work to research that are not older than 7 years from today’s date. Do not use websites, info sheet, or magazines.

• Once you have found two articles, download a PDF to upload with this assignment. The full article must be downloaded and submitted.
• Cite the two articles using APA 7 formatting. If not done correctly please know I’ll ask you to re-do it.
• Review how to correctly write your APA 7 sources: see videos in Orientation Modules to learn APA Reference Entries

NOTE: For your interview (Part II of future assignment) you’ll read the article before the interview to be better informed and well prepared to converse with the social worker. For the final paper, you’ll summarize the article’s findings in preparation to add to your final paper/write-up.

3) For each article, provide a 200 word written paragraph explaining the following:

• Why you chose this article
• How the article relates to your chosen topic
• Summarize the basic information contained in the article.
• Be sure to use APA 7 formatting including double-spaced, 12 point, Times New Roman Font, using 1″ margins. Reference example paper for formatting.

4) Based upon your review of the articles, design five – eight interview questions that you will use in Part II that enable you to gain a substantive understanding of the practice (skills of the social worker, goals of the agency, services of the agency, data supporting effectiveness of the services, etc.).
