Org. Theory Article Presentation

To apply the concepts learned to the real-world organizational settings, students will be reading articles and making short presentations before the class. The Article Assignment is a short about 15 minutes – presentation in class. You may use PowerPoint slides to enhance your presentation. Find a recent article (from the beginning of the semester until your presentation day) in a business-oriented publication (e.g., The Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM); The Wall Street Journal, The Business Week, The Economist, Financial Times, Fortune, national or local newspapers, journals or magazines, etc.). You should choose an article (not a news item) which is relevant to any Organizational Behavior topic. Recent articles only, older articles will lose points. Be careful with articles off the Web, as it is sometimes difficult to tell when that article was written. Your presentation should include the following: Publication name, date, article title, author name, and page numbers Briefly summarize the content of the article Which organizational behavior concepts/techniques are relevant here? Be specific. Elaborate. Your critique of the situation Why do you agree or disagree with the author? Your position/view on the issue and any other comments
