Walmart periodically increases wages for all its employees. Its wages are higher than the federal minimum wage but still below the hourly rate recommended by labor activist groups. Walmart has been increasing employee wages incrementally and will most likely continue to do so, but as it does, labor activists will continue to raise their recommended minimums to keep pace with the cost of living. Respond to the following questions using credible sources from your own research: Does Walmart raise wages because of supply and demand in the labor market or because of the pressure of labor activist organizations?
