Working for the CSO has taught me how to remain comfortable in unfamiliar environments, collaborate with teams, and learn new workflows. Each unit presents different learning opportunities and I make it one of my priorities to ask questions and absorb as much knowledge as possible. Before entering healthcare, I worked as an armed security guard protecting local churches and synagogues. Through past experiences and adequate training I was able to acquire de-escalation skills. On a daily basis I encountered situations that required so. As a result, this strengthened my ability to stay composed, assess risk quickly, and use therapeutic communication. These are skills that directly support safe & compassionate nursing care. Outside of work, Im passionate about fitness, health, and the science behind overall wellbeing. My IP Skills Assessment showed my strongest area as EI. I agree with these results, as I am highly aware of my own emotions as well as others. Although my interpersonal skills are good they can always be improved further, helping me to enjoy even more successful relationships with others. Write Short answer to this post by another Student.: My is Linda, I have five years of experience as an LPN and approximately five years of experience as a CNA, giving me a total of ten years working in the medical field. Throughout this time, I have developed strong interpersonal skills and gained a deep understanding that every patient is unique and comes from a different background. I have learned that an approach that works well for one patient may not be effective for another, which highlights the importance of providing individualized and tailored care. More recently, working in a hospital setting has further broadened my perspective and reinforced how different it can be to care for patients during some of the most difficult days of their lives. This experience has emphasized the critical role of compassion and empathy in nursing practice. My self-assessment results indicated that I have average to above-average communication skills. I plan to continue building upon the strong foundation I already have in order to effectively support, advocate for, and provide compassionate care to my patients.
