This discussion provides you with the opportunity to develop skills in identifying and developing interventions appropriate for specific clients, considering research evidence, practitioner experience, and expertise, client preferences, and ethical and cultural considerations.

Begin by watching the video/reading the transcript. As you watch, take notes on what you hear and/or see. Then, write a post responding to the questions below.
Assignment Instructions:
Imagine that you are the social worker assigned to work with Nicole. In your discussion post, respond to the following prompts:
- Identify what stage of change you think the individual is at. Use the information from the video and what you learned about the Stages of Change Model from the learning materials.
- What elements of the case do you think would be important to consider in choosing an intervention? (Note: there are many right answers here!)
- What elements of the social workers experience and expertise do you think would be important to consider in choosing an intervention?
- Using the intervention identification strategies and resources discussed in the video, identify two possible interventions appropriate for the individual.
- Intervention name and, if appropriate, the name of the founder/author
- An APA-formatted reference for one peer-reviewed journal article that reports evidence for the effectiveness of the intervention in addressing a problem/issue
- Your assessment of how well the intervention addresses the elements of the case you identified in question number 2, including elements of Brian/Nicole/Eddies social identity (for example, age, gender, ethnicity, language, etc.)
- Intervention name and, if appropriate, the name of the founder/author
