needs assessment

Each student will describe and assess a particular need of a community or population that could be addressed by a nonprofit organization.

Guidelines

You are expected to write a report of 2-4 double-spaced pages.

The report needs to cover at least four parts (% of total grade):

1. Definition of the need (30%): Provide some background on the need or issue

2. Description of the community or population involved (30%): Describe who is affected by this need and how they are affected

3. Summary of how organizations are addressing some part of the need (20%): Summarize how 2 public or private organizations are working to alleviate this need

4. Significance of the need to you, personally or professionally (20%): Give reasons why this need is important to you
