WHATS IN A NAME? MIDTERM ASSIGNMENT

Sandra Cisneros hated her name because she thought it was

ugly, sounded old, had too many syllables and conflicted with

her personality. There is always a history /origin, meaning and

cultural heritage attached to ones name.

My name is Destiney. My mom first heard my name when she was delivering my older sibling, she was so impressed that she vowed to name her first daughter Destiney. She added the E before the Y so one could differ the name from the actual word Destiny.
