Upon continuing your work with the cases, in this segment you will talk about the key points that the defense may look at to challenge the evidence in these cases. Take a look at the case from the point of a criminal investigation consultant, you have been tasked with completing a two-page report in which you identify the five most important arguments and/or pieces of evidence for the defense. For each of the five arguments and/or pieces of evidence you identify you must include the following:
- An explanation of the argument and/or evidence and where and/or how it was found in relation to the crime scene
- Details of any investigative processing needed for the evidence
- An explanation of how the piece of evidence supports the defense’s stance that the defendant is not guilty.
Additionally, as the criminal investigation consultant, you have now had the opportunity to review the case from your previously assigned tasks. Write an additional two pages identyfing three separate instances in this investigation that involved the use science or technology to aid the investigation. For each instance, address the following:
- What science or technology was employed?
- How did the science or technology aid in the criminal investigation?
- Discuss how the case would have been impacted WITHOUT this science or technology.
Your total final submission should be 4 pages in length and conform to APA guidelines . Include at least 2 credible references in addition to the course textbook.
