Choose a city that you think you would like to open your nutrition related business in. It can be any city in the United States. Then answer the following questions by researching the answers on the internet. Cite your sources. (Ex. census.gov may be used for population data). Assignment should be typed, double spaced, times new roman 12 font. Make sure to do in text citations and include a bibliography page. Utilize AMA referencing style. City Name, Parish/County, State Population of the City Demographic description of the city’s population (age, sex, race, income, etc) Major industry(s) in the city? (Ex. agricultural, tourism, tech, medical, etc…) You may need to look for information on who are the main employers in the city. Describe these industries. Choose an type of nutrition related business and then research those businesses in the city. (Ex. Outpatient RD practices). How many are there? Choose 3 of the businesses from #5 above and extensively research each one. Give a description of each business. Include its name, owner, location, hours of operation, services provided, fee structure, target market, web address, social media, etc… be as detailed as possible. This will help you later for your final assignment. If there are not at least 3 of the business type you are researching within the city limits reach out to the next nearest city and use businesses you find there to complete the assignment.
