In this assignment, you are asked to select an organization that addresses something that you are passionate about and analyze how its mission, goals, vision, and objectives align with your personal mission and vision in life. This assignment will allow you to connect your future career in social work with an organization whose work you value while also allowing you to reflect on how your professional and personal goals intersect.

For example, if you are passionate about ensuring that those diagnosed with HIV have adequate housing and mental health services, you might select AIDS Healthcare Foundation.

Instructions:

1. Select an Organization: Choose an organization that resonates with you, whether it’s one youve worked with or volunteered for or one that aligns with your future career goals in social work. The organization should be relevant to the field of social work, and it is essential that you are passionate about the work they do. The organization does not need to be housed in Texas.
2. Organizational Analysis:

• Mission: Provide an overview of the organization’s mission. What are the core values, services, and purposes of this organization?
• Vision: Explain the vision of the organization. What long-term impact does the organization seek to make, and how do they envision their role in the community or society?
• Goals: Identify the primary goals of the organization. What specific outcomes is the organization striving for?
• Objectives: Discuss the measurable objectives of the organization. How does the organization plan to achieve its goals?

• Reflect on how your personal mission and vision align with the organizations mission, goals, and vision.
• Discuss how this organizations work connects to your professional aspirations and personal values in the field of social work.

1. Writing Requirements:

• Length: 3 pages (double-spaced, excluding title page and reference page).
• Citations: At least 3 academic sources cited in APA format (in addition to the organizations website or other primary sources). Make sure all sources are cited correctly using APA style.
• Structure: The paper should be organized logically, with an introduction, body, and conclusion. Ensure your ideas are clearly articulated and your argument is coherent.
