Mental Health Integration

For a variety of reasons, the mental health care system in the United States has developed separately from the physical health care system. Prepare and defend one (1) practical operational recommendation for overcoming the effects of this separation and improving the health status of all Americans. Acceptable recommendations can be incremental steps, microsystem changes, specific interventions, etc., that decrease the current separation. Keep in mind to be specific, realistic, and practical. Your paper must include the what,” why, and how of your suggestion. General or global recommendations such as increasing funding or changing policies are less effective and do not demonstrate rigor of critical thinking.

The purpose of this assignment is to demonstrate student knowledge of the topic assigned, particularly knowledge gained since starting the course. The format such submissions will follow a 2-page minimum to 3-page maximum Word document in APA format.

1. APA Format

• Among other things, this means double spaced, 12 pt. font, one-inch margins, and the use of APA headings/sub-headings.
• Students are responsible for correct APA formatting of citations and references.

1. References: A minimum of four (4) references from quality resources.
2. All written assignments are double-spaced using 11 or 12-pint font (APA 7 student format)
3. 2 page minimum to 3 page maximum, not including references.

5. Reference page include a reference for all citations in the paper, with no extra references.
