Media/Pop Research Paper

Choose a movie or television show from pre-1990 and one from post-2010 (same genre is not required but is encouraged) and write a 3-7 page analysis. The first episode of a television show must have aired 1990 or earlier or 2010 or later to qualify for this assignment. Watch at least two episodes if using a television show.

Conduct an analysis of what cultures are shown in the chosen media and how those cultures are represented. At a minimum, include racial, gender, socioeconomic, LGBTQ+, and regional/national cultural identities. Compare the differences in the presentation of different cultures in two different times.

Research what was happening in the world at the time the show/movie aired and consider what the representation means for the real world at the time.

You should have at least two historical references about events at the time the program/movie was released, in APA format (both citations and reference page).
