Understanding the structure of your organization is essential to identifying communication flows, decision-making authority, and opportunities for improvement. For this discussion, create a basic organizational chart that represents the hierarchical and functional relationships within your healthcare organization. Your chart should reflect the structure of units, departments, and leadership roles relevant to your work area, address the following:

1. Describe the healthcare organizational model your institution uses (e.g., functional, matrix, service line, flat, or hybrid).
2. Briefly explain how the chart reflects this model and how it impacts communication, reporting, and decision-making processes.
3. Reflect on how the current structure supports or hinders innovation, collaboration, or quality outcomes in your unit or department.

You may create your chart using:

• A drawing tool (e.g., Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Canva, Lucidchart).

• Your initial post should be at least 500 words, formatted and cited in current APA style with support from at least 2 academic sources. Your initial post is worth 8 points.
• You should respond to at least two of your peers by extending, refuting/correcting, or adding additional nuances to their posts. Your reply posts are worth 2 points (1 point per response.)
• All replies must be constructive and use literature where possible.
