Essay to rewrite about:

Ralph Waldo Emerson

Amongst the authors we discussed, I find Ralph Waldo Emerson interesting. I found his work compelling because of his deep thinking about self-reliant individualism and the built-in unity between humans and nature. For example, one of Emerson’s most profound essays, “Self-Reliance” and “Nature,” tailored my strong liking to recognize his consistent relevance and motivation (Woodward-Burns, 2021). What stands out to me about Ralph Waldo Emerson’s writing and the period he is writing is his emphasis on the ultimate development of personal minds from conformity to society. From his work, I can apply the subsistence of independence through his essay “Economy,” where I am permeated with external influences and cultural pressures. Emerson’s acknowledgment of nature as a place of spiritual rejuvenation and creativity is even more striking, considering modern problems of nature’s ignorance and distance from the natural world when people recognize ecological disasters and catastrophes. The instruction that one should seek inner peace amidst the beauty of nature also shows the current social desire to live in harmony with the environment. Emerson’s statement gets pathetic here with a certain awe- it illustrates nature’s significant influence on people’s consciousness. We must reconsider our relationship with the environment in the context of the ecological dilemma. First, Emerson Emerson’s theory of individualism and non-conformism represents an eternal guide. It shows the right way to stay authentic and resist the pressures of homogeneity, which were quite popular in the 19th century. Above all, Emerson’s writings still bring about many useful messages concerning coping with complications in our daily lives.
