I will also attach the proposal so that you understand what the research is about. The proposal focuses on many identities. I changed it and now the focus is on socioeconomic status and gender only. (ignore the citations used in the proposal, use only the ones on the annotated bibliography assignment docuemnt.)
Objective: The literature review will help you engage with existing academic research related to
your topic. This assignment is your opportunity to find, evaluate, and synthesize secondary
sources, demonstrating your understanding of the scholarly conversation around your research
area. Your literature review will inform your research paper and help you situate your work
within the broader academic discourse.
Requirements:
1) Intro: Introduce your topic and provide context. State why this conversation is important
and briefly introduce the sources youll discuss.
2) Body: For each source, summarize its main argument, evidence, and perspective.
Compare and contrast 68 sources, noting where they agree, disagree, or provide unique
insights. Use subheadings if it helps organize your paper.
3) Synthesis: Analyze the conversation among these sources. Discuss what these differing
perspectives reveal about the topic. Are there gaps in the conversation, unresolved
questions, or emerging trends?
4) Conclusion: Summarize the insights gained from putting these sources in conversation.
Conclude by offering your own perspective or questions youd like to explore further.
5) Citations: Include in-text citations as well as a bibliography
