After discussing Chapter 17: Language Acquisition Theories and Models and completing the Chapter 17 Challenge Sheets:
- Review Table 17.1Brain-Based Principles and Their Pedagogical Implications, Why TESOL? on pages 239-240.
- Review Figure 17.2Krashen’s Monitor Model, Why TESOL? on page 242.
- Plan a content-area lesson that takes into account the implications of three of the brain-based principles discussed in Chapter 17, as well as Krashen’s Monitor Model.
- Follow the ESOL Lesson Plan Include specific mentions of the three brain-based principles you would apply, as well as references to specific aspects of the Monitor Model.
Requirements: Length of Lesson Plan 3 pages approximately
