For your Signature Assignment, you are tasked to critically examine a topic from this course by looking at it through two different lenses: that of a Human Resources (HR) Professional and an Employee. You have the flexibility to focus either on an international company operating in various countries or a domestic company with global branches. Your task is to highlight the differing viewpoints, considerations, and experiences each perspective brings to the chosen subject. This exercise is designed to enhance your understanding of how different roles within an organization interpret and interact with the same issue in the context of global operations.

Use the following two interview guides for your interviews: one interview guide for the HR professional and one interview guide for the employee. For each question, remove the placeholder XXX and replace it with the topic you selected.

HR Professional Interview Guide

What is your XXX process/program?

3. Schedule a 15-minute interview with an HR Professional and a 15-minute interview with an Employee. The employee and HR professional do not need to be employed by the same company.

Keep your interview to 15 minutes to protect and respect your interviewees time.

Share the interview guide with the interviewee before the interview.

Hold the interview over the telephone, an internet platform, or in-person, as appropriate.

Remember to allow time for the interviewee to process your question and gather their thoughts.

Perform the interviews.

Write a paper on your findings. Please address the following:

Clearly identify the selected topic.

Provide background information for both the HR Professional and the Employee

Identify the industry and geographic region of the HR Professionals employer,

Identify the Employees position experiences and geographic region.

c. Compare and contrast data collected from the interviews.

Use themes to format your discussion. Support themes with direct quotes from your interviewees.

d. Discuss the differences and similarities from the perspective of the theory or model that you selected in the week 1 assignment.

Integrate organizational assets and ecological systems into the discussion.

e. Provide a summary identifying challenges of managing HR operations gleaned from the discussion.

Length: 10-12 pages

References: Include a minimum of 6 scholarly references.

The completed assignment should address all of the assignment requirements, exhibit evidence of concept knowledge, and demonstrate thoughtful consideration of the content presented in the course. The writing should integrate scholarly resources, reflect academic expectations and current APA standards, and adhere to the Northcentral Universitys Academic Integrity Policy.
