Assignment Purpose: In the criminal justice field, success during internships depends on applying the right knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSAs). This assignment will help you identify the KSAs you already have, recognize areas for improvement, and prepare to meet professional expectations in law enforcement, legal settings, corrections, or other justice agencies. Assignment Instructions: At the top of your page, please provide your desired internship. Part 1: Research (Knowledge Component) Research and list at least five (5) key areas of knowledge necessary for success in your desired criminal justice internship. For each area, write a brief explanation (23 sentences) of why this knowledge is critical in a professional setting. Part 2: Skills Assessment Identify and list at least five (5) important skills needed in a criminal justice environment. For each skill, describe: How you have demonstrated this skill in past experiences (academic, work, volunteer). How you plan to strengthen this skill during your internship. Part 3: Abilities Reflection Reflect on three (3) key abilities that will be important during your internship. For each ability, answer: Why is this ability important for someone working in criminal justice? What specific strategies will you use to demonstrate this ability during your internship?
