For

your

action item you must identify an environmental problem and commit to take some

action to improve it. This action can be anything you can conceive of that benefits the

environment. The action must be approved by your instructor before you complete it and

s

hould be something that requires

several hours

to complete

beyond the time required to

write your essays and make your presentation

(i.e. something substantially more than

recycling your ES 103 syllabus at the end of the semester).

You must provide evidence that you have completed the action item b

y

the

presentation

due

date.

Evidence can be in the form of short videos, pictures, audio recordings, copies of

emails, letters, or anything that Dr. Gordon approves of (check with him first).

Both essays

should be at least 5 pages, double spaced, using Times 12 pt font, with one

–

inch

margins. References, tables and figures are not counted as part of your page count. You must

cite all sources using APA or CSE format (the format used in your plagiarism assig

nment)

My idea was to volunteer here in Evansville on the centers on reducing utility costs and managing our resources from the Ohio river. which would be things like fixing leaks, taking shorter showers and watering lawns. The EWSU (Evansville water and sewer utility) offers a relief program.
