You will explain how a person experiencing domestic violence and mental health and/or substance use concerns moves through forensic systems such as police, courts, jail or prison, treatment, and parole or probation. This assignment focuses on systems, not blaming individuals. What You Will Turn In You will submit two items: A visual system map (diagram) A recorded vlog explaining the case and the system map Both items must be uploaded to Canvas. Step-by-Step Instructions Step 1: Choose a Case Study Choose one of the case study options provided by your instructor. Do not use real people or real cases Use only the information from the case study prompt You may add reasonable details if needed, but keep the case realistic Step 2: Create a Visual System Map Your system map is a diagram that shows how the person moves through different systems. You may create your map using: PowerPoint Google Slides Canva Your system map MUST include: At least four systems, such as police, courts, jail or prison, treatment, probation or parole, and/or social services (housing, child welfare, etc.) Arrows showing movement between systems Labels showing where power or control appears, where the system helps or protects, and where the system fails or causes harm
