Interview with a Group Facilitator

Develop 3-4-page paper which summarizes your interview with a person (preferably a social worker) who is working on a regular basis with a group e.g., community group, treatment group, staff group or team, etc.) Your interview should be conducted in person or via Zoom (approx. 30 minutes).

Prepare a set of questions in advance to ask during the interview. Attach your questions as an addendum to your paper. Possible questions might ask about the interviewees background and experience working with groups; the types of groups they worked with; best and worst group experiences; how do they engage group members in the group processes; use of supervision; advice they might give to students who are learning how to work with groups. Integrate group work concepts from Chapter 4 in out text as you prepare the write-up of this interview, keeping APA style in mind.
