Intercultural Interview and Paper

Instructions

You will interview at least two people who belong to cultural groups other than your own and who are from different cultures so that you may reflect on and analyze your intercultural communication competence and the importance of cultural diversity awareness in a paper.

Your paper must contain the following sections:

• Introduction
• Share background information for your interview subjects.
• State the main goal of your paper.
• Analysis of the Five Dimensions of Culture
• Discuss all , as presented by Communication in the Real World (2016), and how they affect intercultural communication for all participants, including yourself, as presented in the lesson. The book can be accesed usuing this link
• Be sure to discuss all three different perspectives (yours and your two interviewees) when analyzing each of the Five Dimensions of Culture.
• Reflection
• Describe your self-concept and how it affects your communication competence with diverse cultures.
• Explain the importance of intercultural communication competence based on your experience with completing this assignment.
• Discuss the role of compassionate care in intercultural communication competence.
• Conclusion
• Summarize your takeaways on the Five Dimensions of Culture and intercultural communication.
• Reflect on your ability to consider perspectives other than your own and engage with diverse populations.

Your paper should be 4-6 pages in length (not including the title page and reference page) and formatted according to APA guidelines. Include APA-formatted in-text citations and full references for course materials used to support your writing.
