[INFO] Reading Summaries

An important learning from this class is to be aware of the trending topics and news regarding information systems and information technology and their global impact. This exercise will help you in summarizing and applying information. You will also be preparing potential materials to use for your group project.

PROCEDURES

Pick one article from the internet and write between a 400 – 500 word summary of your reading (Single-spaced, 12 pt Arial font).

Print your full name and summary # on the top left of the page. Include a link to the news article. Include an MLA styled formal citation at the end. These are not counted in the page length.

Focus on the following:

What is it about? Why is it so interesting to you?

Who are the stakeholders? (e.g. customers, employees, investors, competitors, government)

What global considerations are raised?

Which concept(s) in the textbook does this relate to? You may have to read ahead in the textbook.

How can this information benefit you personally?
