Hello,
This is talking circle assignment (a script) for a canadian law school class. Please use appropriate grammar. PLEASE FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY.
Students will be divided into groups, provided with a fact scenario, and asked to use Anishinaabe stories, their understanding of Anishinaabe constitutional order, and talking circle protocols to identify legal issues, apply legal principles, and propose resolutions to the problem. Each student will have a maximum of 5 minutes to present their analysis of the fact scenario and propose tentative resolutions.
The final 15 minutes will be set aside for open reflective dialogue. During the final 15 minutes of open reflective dialogue, each circle will have an opportunity to reflect on the assignment, including discussing the different arguments proposed, any unanswered questions, and whether the assignment shifted your thinking about Indigenous law and legal issues. The discussion should be respectful and I expect that you will all listen carefully to the other submissions in your circle so that you can have a meaningful discussion in the final 15 minutes.
PLEASE LOOK AT THE INSTRUCTIONS AND THE TALKING CIRCLE QUESTION. AFTER, MAKE A SCRIPT (I HAVE ATTACHED AN EXAMPLE) USING THE READINGS I HAVE ATTACHED. THE READINGS ARE TITLED WITH THE LEGAL PRINCIPLE/THEME, I HAVE CAPITALIZED THEM SO YOU KNOW WHICH READING BELONGS TO WHICH PRINCIPLE/THEME.
PLEASE MAKE A SCRIPT OF 2-3 PAGES SINGLE SPACED THAT I CAN PRESENT TO THE CLASS. PLEASE MAKE SURE TO FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS AND THE TALKING CIRCLE QUESTION WORD DOCUMENT.
