In this assignment, you will select one communication theory and conduct an in-depth scholarly analysis of it. The goal is for you to become an expert on your chosen theory by engaging deeply with its origins, evolution, applications, and limitations. This is not a surface-level overview; rather, you are expected to demonstrate mastery of the theory through careful reading, synthesis, and critical evaluation of scholarly research.
You must locate and read the original article or book in which the theory was first introduced and use it as a foundation for your analysis. You may choose a theory you plan to use in your final paper, and doing so is encouraged.
