1.-im starting my internship at on-campus volunteer position in the International Programs and Services Office would meet the academic requirements for my internship course.
The role would involve administrative and student-support duties within the International Office and would be completed on campus under staff supervision.
Overview
In weeks 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, and 12 you will be asked to review and reflect on the course content covered during the last two weeks, as well as your internship experience. Your reflection will be posted to the Discussion Forum for each respective weekly module of the course. Research shows that taking time to reflect on lessons learned supports the overall learning process, so make of the most out of this critical thinking activity! Your discussion posts will function as a journal, and provide additional value as a source of reference and content for your final course reflection that is due at the end of this class.
In addition to posting your own reflection to the Discussion Forum, you will respond to a minimum of two (2) classmate’s discussion posts (you may respond to more than two, two is simply the minimum requirement).
Instructions
First, answer the following prompts in your own Discussion post:
- What did you learn this week?
- How will it help you as you move forward with your internship?
- What questions or other thoughts do you have about your internship or career development?
- List any new ideas you have for the business you are supporting. What next steps would you propose for each idea?
- Are there any challenges, issues, or concerns that you are currently experiencing in your internship?
- Additional questions or comments…
- How many hours were you scheduled to work over the last two weeks?
- How many hours did you actually work over the last two weeks?
