Purpose: To facilitate an understanding of childhood immunizations and their importance not only for the health promotion of a child but to population health. To integrate theory into practice and facilitate evidence-based research. Instructions: Please discuss the following topics in your paper Historical significance related to vaccination and immunization How were vaccines first developed? Childhood diseases through the years-Discuss how vaccines have changed? What is herd immunity? What is are the types of vaccine, i.e.- Live, Inactivated, toxoid, etc. Out of the list below, pick one vaccine and discuss at length the development, the disease it is protecting against (including pathophysiology, clinical manifestations, treatment for unvaccinated, transmission rate) when the child should receive, how is it administered and how many doses education, and mortality rate if unvaccinated.
