It helps to meet: Course Objective 11: Describe the organization, financing and delivery of various medical and population-based services in the U.S. healthcare system. HP 2030 is the main organization and delivery for Public Health services in the US.

This week, you will use your HP 2030 interest area and then find a current article on it.

Article This week you find your own article. It must be within the last year and relate to your HP 2030 research topic.

Assignment Steps

Use the same topic and HP2030 information you spoke of and shared in the last 2 discussions. Do not pick a new interest.
Using that HP 2030 Category and Subset from the last discussion, find an article about your area of interest. A good tip is to search “recent articles on (your topic)”.
The article should be one where you can get full text (not just an abstract) and be one that is understandable to you. For example, a medical journal article on cellular changes in diabetes would be above the scope of the class. A New York Times story on increases in diabetes in 2024 would be more appropriate.

Post your objective area and subset from last week.
Write a 3-5 sentence summary of the article and include one fact.
Post a screenshot of the article you used.
Make sure to have it in the reference. If you use AI, make sure to cite it.

The area I choice is: Health Conditions > Mental Health and Mental Disorders As I mentioned in the previous discussion, the video’s message isn’t limited to treatment but also includes protecting both mind and body. This is something I discovered through experience with a family member. When you’re caring for a patient, you focus on their treatment and forget about yourself, and in doing so, you lose your mental and physical health. In my opinion, maintaining your mental and physical health is a significant part of treating patients.
