This assignment has a few pieces that you will have to put together
I. Visual and II. Oral Component – A PowerPoint presentation that covers both your visual and oral portion of the assignment:
Slide 1 – Cover Page: (Topic, your name, your class, term, etc)
Slide 2 – Visual Presentation – this slide will say Visual Presentation only and nothing else.
Slide 3 – Display board: (You don’t need to go out and purchase display board,
(a) you can use boxes, your wall, table cloth to make the display board, take picture, copy and paste it onto your PowerPoint slide
(b) if you are computer savvy, you can create it from you computer, copy, and paste pictures from internet onto PowerPoint slide that is formatted into a display board.
Slide 4: Children’s books that relate to the topic: (You don’t have to go and purchase the book or borrow the books if you can’t – you can use images of children’s books from the internet, copy, and paste onto the slide)
Slide 5: A display of display board and children’s books together. Just like display you will see at educational expos. You can also add and spice it up with other materials and items as well (optional). Imagine, you are provided with a booth to set up your display, how would you display your display board and children’s books? Other materials that support your topic are also welcome.
Slide 6 – Oral Presentation: this slide will say Visual Presentation only and nothing else.
Slide 7 and beyond – Oral presentation: How would you explain your topic? what do you want families and teachers to know about your topic? You must have at least 5 slides for your oral presentation. Make sure (1) your slides are not wordy and (2) you don’t copy and paste directly from another source or the internet. Type everything in and your font and font size needs to be consistent.
Last slide or oral presentation – A list or reference for this oral presentation.
II. Written Component (There are 3 pieces to be submitted for this component)
1. Resources for Teachers: Every chapter (Helpful Web Resources) has many resources already compiled for you. You will need to pick and choose only 10 that pertain to your topic and conduct a few more research for each (find out address and phone number). Format should look like below otherwise you will not earn points:

2. Create Brochure or pamphlet or booklet or flyer of your own based on the information you have researched. You cannot use an already created brochure by an organization. Use your computer, images from internet (if applicable) to create your pamphlet. You can even you Power Point to do so. Taking picture of handwritten document will not be graded.
3. Develop Lesson Plan

Use the following resources for lesson plan. Failure to follow the following format will result in point deduction.
