Thought experiment assignment(20%) In this assignment, students will apply course concepts to a contemporary issue related to forced migration or refugee protection. Students will select a current event, policy debate, media representation, or humanitarian response (e.g., the U.K. return hubs/proposed offshoreprocessing centers) and analyze it using ideas and frameworks introduced in the course (such as labelling, externalization, prolonged displacement, spaces of encampment, humanitarianism, governance, deservingness, etc.). The goal is not to propose policy solutions, but to demonstrate conceptual understanding and critical analysis by using course material to rethink how the issue is framed and governed. Papers should be approximately 1,5002,000 words in length -double spaced times new roman 12pt (excluding references) -use scholarly articles- APA reference- also include in text citations (author, date) ,and also include the page number you are citing from. NOTE: These were the professor’s concerns- I am writing to follow up regarding your recent essay submission. After reviewing the paper, I have several concerns that I would like to clarify before proceeding with grading. In particular: The essay does not cite any sources related to the UK return hubs proposal itself, despite relying heavily on it as a case study. There are sections where claims are made without supporting citations. The citations included do not provide page numbers or close engagement with the assigned readings. -I attached some course readings-
