Choose one of the case studies outlined in your syllabus, (Emily and Marcus) I attached the syllabus so you can choose the one you want. and provide an understanding of the client through 2 theoretical models.

Read the case study thoroughly then complete the following:

• Write an 8 page APA style and formatted literature review on the theoretical models.
• This should include 5 peer-reviewed sources
• The assignment should be divided this way:
• An Assessment (2 pages)
• Goal-Setting (2 pages)
• Treatment Planning (2 pages)
• Analysis and Reflection (2 pages)

Choose one of the provided clinical case studies. Your case study should include enough detail to

explore issues related to presenting problems, cultural context, and client history.

Write a paper (8 pages, double-spaced, APA format) addressing the following:

A. Assessment (2 pages)

o How does each theory conceptualize the client’s presenting problem(s)?

o What tools or techniques would the theory prioritize for assessment?

o How do cultural and contextual factors influence assessment in each theory?

B. Goal-Setting (2 pages)

o What goals would each theory establish for this client?

o How does each theory determine what is achievable or realistic for the client?

o Discuss how the clients values and cultural background are incorporated into goal-

setting.

C. Treatment Planning (2 pages)

o Outline a treatment plan for the client using each theory.

o Highlight key interventions or techniques associated with each theory.

o Discuss the expected timeline and progression of treatment for each approach.

4. Analysis and Reflection (2 pages)

o Compare and contrast the strengths and limitations of each theory for this particular case.

o Reflect on how the integration of these approaches could enhance treatment.

o Discuss your personal alignment with one or both of these theories and how it might

influence your counseling practice.
