Findings Recommendation

hello i need to do my part of this essay its a group project. My part is number 4

Findings & Analysis:

1. Abby’s House holds strong community and historical values

• Most artifacts revolve around donations, community happenings, and people in the community
• Some artifacts contain personal stories that may strengthen emotional connection with donors
• Abby’s house keeps records of even the most everyday events
• Interviews staff wanted to be part of the community, work is more fulfilling than corporate slop

2. Abbys House has a rich history but struggles with presenting it to the public

• Disorganization of artifacts and documentation
• According to interview with Molly, people havent looked through historical records to put together a narrative

3.A functional and easily integrated database supports Abbys House storytelling

• Chose Excel due to current use of Microsoft 365 (molly)
• Search/Sort functionality allows staff to find significant artifacts and look through their timeline (sponsor meetings)

4.Abbys House struggles with reaching broader audiences

• Interviews revealed Abbys House is missing a young audience / donor base.
• Abbys House has a limited online presence
• Abbys House has physical artifacts they wish to preserve and share with a wider audience.
• Staff time and resources limit the ability to expand marketing and outreach (Jens Interview)
