Part 1

The first part of this assignment is to construct a spreadsheet of the required ratios for a publicly traded company, Black Knight, Inc.

Download the following Excel workbook that is attached. You will find the financial statements taken from BKI’s 2022 10-k. Below them, there is a table “Selected Financial Metrics from Consolidated Financial Statements”. Enter the financial data from the financial statements into the yellow cells. This is all the information you need to be able to calculate the ratios required for this paper. There is also a “FORMULAS” tab for your reference.

You will also see a “Selected Financial Performance Ratios” table. Calculate the financial ratios in the yellow cells. The industry ratios are in the next column. You will use these calculated ratios and the provided industry ratios to complete your research paper. Copy and paste the “Selected Financial Metrics from Consolidated Financial Statement” and “Selected Financial Performance Ratios” tables into your research paper as exhibits on a separate exhibit’s page after the reference page. (Hint: copy and paste as an image for best results.)

Part 2 is very easy it is to write an essay that is already pre outlined and organized for you.

The second part of the assignment is to write a research paper based on your ratio calculations. Your paper should be a minimum of 1,000 words and include an analysis of the ratios, comparison to the industry, and conclusions as to the financial performance of the firm. The paper requires the use of at least five scholarly sources. A good paper will be between 1,000 and 1,500 words, excluding title and reference pages.

• Paper to be APA format.
• Required between 1,000 and 1,500 words. (4 pages)
• Times New Roman 12pt font, double spaced.
• Indent each paragraph, no extra space between headers and paragraphs.
• Separate title and reference pages.
• At least 5 reputable/scholarly sources.
• Must use in-text citations in APA format.

Download the following template for your paper which is also attached. Keep all headers and formatting to ensure proper APA format, and that all required information is included in your paper.
