I am writing to ask for your guidance on my report about how positive psychology coaching can support wellbeing in the workplace. I want to make sure I understand the assignment correctly and focus on the most important areas.
From my understanding, the report needs to include:
- an executive summary and introduction
- a discussion of coaching in an organisational context
- the benefits of positive psychology coaching for individuals, teams, and organisations
- the barriers/challenges to applying coaching in the workplace, and ways to overcome them
- a critical discussion of what makes an effective coaching strategy
- the knowledge, skills, and behaviours of an effective coach
- discussion of the GROW model (or a similar model)
- the positive psychology theories behind coaching, including their validity and reliability
- issues of professional practice, such as boundaries, ethics, confidentiality, contracting, power, and supervision
- ways to evaluate coaching outcomes
- a clear conclusion and correct Harvard referencing
I would really appreciate your advice on what I should focus on most strongly to meet the marking criteria. In particular, I would like to know:
- Which sections usually carry the most weight in terms of marks
- How much critical analysis is expected compared with description
- Which positive psychology theories would be most important to include
- Whether I should use practical workplace examples throughout
- What common mistakes students make in this assignment
If possible, I would also appreciate any advice on how to make the report stronger in terms of structure, academic writing, and evaluation.
