Overview Economic systems and corporate practices shape the daily lives of individuals and communities, often raising questions about fairness, accountability, and the distribution of resources. In this reflection, you will choose one of the following topics: corporate governance and whistleblowing, labor rights and fair wages, consumer protection and advertising ethics, homelessness and housing rights, or poverty and economic redistribution. You will analyze the ethical dimensions of your chosen issue, evaluate the arguments and perspectives presented in course materials, and apply ethical theories to assess how businesses, governments, and individuals ought to act in the pursuit of justice and economic responsibility. Thoughtfully reflect on the issues discussed in the following text and relevant videos that you have watched. In your reflection essay, respond to the following prompts: Clearly identify the central ethical issue or controversy discussed. Summarize the perspectives presented by the speaker(s), highlighting their key arguments and viewpoints. Analyze the ethical issues raised and the types of ethical reasoning employed in the discussion. Critically evaluate the speaker(s) positions. Do you agree or disagree with their arguments? Provide a detailed explanation of your stance, including how your own ethical principles and personal values shape your response. Consider the theoretical concepts covered so far in the course.
