Read Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s “Letter From Birmingham Jail” and the lecture on frame breaking. Then, in an essay of at least 1,200 words, do each of the following:
1. Identify and summarize three key arguments to which Dr. King is responding. (He states these outright.)
2. Explain the frame the arguments employ.
3. Explain how Dr. King breaks the frame using one of the five methods in the lecture
4. Summarize Dr. King’s own arguments on each of these points and identify the Appeal (pathos, ethos, logos) he is using in each argument.
