Write a 1,000-word paper for me. Also, I want an AI score when you are done, for example an “Turnitin” score for AI. I’ve made a note of the information provided at the bottom. The paper should be Times New Roman 12, double-spaced, with quotes and citations.
Prompt: This paper will develop and advance the courses themes in one or more of our readings.
Email with Professor about the argument: Good Morning.
Dr. McNaughton, I hope you are doing well. I am writing to ask whether the following direction is appropriate for Paper 2.
I am interested in focusing on Primo Levis concept of the gray zone in The Drowned and the Saved. I want to explore how Levi challenges simple moral categories like victim versus perpetrator or resistance versus collaboration, especially through figures like the Kapos. My tentative argument is that the gray zone shows fascism not just as a system of domination, but as one that deliberately blurs moral clarity, forcing victims into compromised roles and making postwar moral judgment unstable.
Ryan,
The topic is good, but it is the very subject of Levis chapter. For that reason, it could help if you compiled your quotes, read them closely, and explained how Levi comes through this moral blurring. After all, as we said in class, hes also arguing against blurring morality. Look closely at the passages that interest youand try to push forward the argument by seeing that it is an argument in Levi.
* Make sure to include the counterargument in the second paragraph. And incorporate fascism in the paper.
*Attached are my notes and quotes.
Please ask me any questions or clarifications to go over.
