The concept of PEEP is arguably one of the most important to understand when approaching the topic of airway management. Advancements such as CPAP and BiPAP have drastically improved patient outcome and reduced the need for RSI and intubation in the field.

In 2-3 paragraphs, explain the concept of PEEP and how that relates to CPAP/BiPAP. What is the difference between CPAP and BiPAP? What types of patient’s typically benefit from non-invasive positive pressure?
