A well-designed employee spot recognition policy can help ensure that the program is fair, consistent, and effective in motivating and engaging employees. It can also help managers and supervisors understand their role in recognizing and rewarding employees and provide a framework for creating a positive and supportive work environment. Using the sample policy (figure 10.1) on page 261, develop a set of guidelines for spot recognition. This should include when and how to use spot recognition, and what is considered appropriate in terms of the cash value. (This case study may be included as a component of your final project)
