Using news resources, your own views, and those concepts concerning the media as outlined by the text and lectures, show how public opinion has been affected by the media coverage of a current event. Requirements:
- The paper should be approximately 3-5 pages in length (not including references).
- The event must be from within the last four months.
- Use at least 3 sources
- At least one must be from an LSSC Library Database, such as
- At least one must be from the textbook or other reputable sources to explain the concept
- Any other sources used can include news websites or public polling organizations
- Include concepts from Chapter 8 that are being demonstrated in your source.
- Examples include, but are not limited to:
- Agenda setting
- Framing
- Priming
- Yellow Journalism
- Use . or .
- One-inch margins on all sides
- Times New Roman or Arial, 12-point font
- Double-spaced text
- When citing outside sources, you must have parenthetical references within the body of the paper and a Works Cited or References page at the end.
- Use hanging indents
