Discussion post. Must be 250 words minimum. Choose 1 of the options. OPTION 1 – Earthquakes: Go through the following website: On this webpage you will find a long list of historic earthquakes, with casualties given in brown on the right of the link for the quake. Go through the site and select two historic earthquake events. Compare and contrats both events. They could be from the same location but different time (i.e. Mexico City earthquake in 1985, 2017, 2021) Where and when each of those historic earthquake events occurred What was the degree of the earthquakes? List the tectonic plate boundaries or volcanoes which lead to those earthquakes List all the damages reported to the physical location, the economies, peoples’ lives. Can this happen again and have they done anything to reduce future losses? If not, what should be done? Provide a recommendation for those who lived there on how to reduce the damage if those events repeat again. OPTION 2 -Plate Tectonics: Read chapter 4: Plate Tectonics from your etextbook and Week 4: Plate Tectonics 02/03 to 02/08. Incorporate at least one resource to support your answer. List the three types of plate boundaries and describe the relative motion along each.
