Discussion – Science vs Pseudoscience

Choose one of the claims/statements/sources from the list below. Use critical thinking, course learning resources*, at least one peer-reviewed scholarly article, and other information sources as needed to determine whether your chosen claim/statement is based (mostly) on science or pseudoscience. Note: It may be a little of both.

Summarize your position, evidence, and conclusions in 100-200 words.

At a minimum, cite a peer-reviewed scholarly article and one of the course learning resources. Include in-text citations and references to information sources used in .

Choose a claim that has not yet been covered, if possible. If you choose the same claim as someone else, use a different peer-reviewed scholarly article. Include the number and name of your chosen claim in the title of your post.

      If there are other examples you would like to investigate instead of those provided, please ask your professor for approval.

      Reply to at least two other students’ posts. Your replies should be substantial and contribute to learning. Things to consider: Do you agree with the other students’ conclusions? Can you provide information that contradicts what they found about their chosen claim? Does their chosen claim have some aspects of both science and pseudoscience? Cite sources used in APA format.
