Discussion Forum #2: Our Ocean Timeline Presentation
Step 1: Review the Presentation
Please take time to view our Ocean Timeline Presentation posted on Moodle. I have compiled everyones slides into one chronological slideshow. A few of the slides were created by students in other sections or from past semesters. To keep the focus on your content, Ive removed names from previous semesters.
Step 2: Write Your Reflection
By Friday, February 20, 2026, post a one-paragraph reflection (about 510 sentences) in this forum after reviewing the slideshow. You might consider these prompts to guide your response:
- What new information did you learn?
- Which events were you already familiar with?
- How has the humanocean relationship changed over time?
- In what ways have people impacted the ocean?
- What questions are you left with after viewing the timeline?
- Which slide stood out to you most, and why?
Feel free to expand beyond these prompts if something else prompts your curiosity.
Step 3: Comment and Connect
By Tuesday, February 24, 2026, respond to at least three classmates posts. Be specific in your replies:
- Highlight what you found interesting about their perspective.
- Share your thoughts if you noticed something similar or different in your own reflection.
- If they created a slide, comment on what stood out to you about it.
The goal is for everyone to receive meaningful feedback, promote conversation, and get to know one another better as we explore ocean history together.
YOU ONLY HAVE TO DO STEP 3. RESPONSES WILL BE GIVEN BELOW. RESPONSES SHOULD BE 4-5 SENTENCES.
