Use specific moments from the story to show how each concept appears in Omelas.

Do not summarize the plotfocus on how communication justifies, normalizes, or challenges the arrangement.

3) Real-world parallel

Connect Omelas to one real-world case (workplace, school, social movement, media storyline, or current event) where some people benefit while others are marginalized. Be specific.

4) Critical reflection

In your real-world case:

• Who benefits and who is silenced?
• What communication practices reinforce the system (messages, rules, norms, common sense, etc.)?
• What would walking away look like in that context (resistance, refusal, reform, exit)?
