Let’s assume the following scenario. You are the health commissioner for a rural county in the Midwest. Health care professionals in your county have reported excessive drug overdoses, alcohol poisoning, and cancers associated with tobacco use in their practices and at the local community hospital. In statistically benchmarking your county against your own state and the nation, you concur with their observation. Reflect on what you believe you can do at the primary, secondary, and tertiary levels to combat these issues. Provide specific examples of community health strategies at each of prevention that you feel would be effect and explain why. Your journal entry must be at least 200 words in length.
