Attached are videos of the role of African Americans in the Revolutionary War and the U.S. Constitution. Watch and tell me what you think. You should write about 1 paragraph (75 words). These videos were interesting and very important to learn about. I was not aware that after the Revolutionary War, thousands of African Americans were taken by British ships, and some started a new colony off the coast of Africa. Additionally, I thought it was important to know and understand the parts of the Constitution that protected individual people. The first video described how some African Americans voted to ratify the Constitution and add the Bill of Rights to implement citizen protections. It is important to learn and understand this part of history to understand how and why our country is the way it is today.
