Module 6 includes five discussion questions. Please read the instructions carefully for each question.

2. [Chapter 13] What was the most effective (least effective) influence tactic you have used? Please share at least “two” examples of different influence tactics.

3. [Chapter 13] Please think about the last serious conflict you had. Which approach did you take to resolve it? Did your conflict resolution style work well?

4. [Chapter 14] Leaders are born or Leaders are made. Which statement made more sense to you? After you study the chapter content, what do you think about it?

5. [Chapter 14] Please consider the definition and characteristics of transformational leadership. Can you think of any potential dark sides of it? If so, what would it be?

• For Question 1, please use the attached file for the Preferred Power Type assessment. It includes 20 items, and detailed scoring instructions is available on p.2. Please share your scores only (e.g., expert: X.X; referent: X. X, etc.). Also, discuss which power type will be the strongest. And which power type do you currently have in the workplace (current or previous).
• For Question 2, please check Figure 13-2 Influence Tactics and Their Effectiveness, and read different types of influence tactics before you answer. Then, please share your experience using at least two different influence tactics.
• For Question 3, please share your experience with conflict resolution. Please see Figure 13-5 Styles of Conflict Resolution and fully understand different conflict resolution styles before you answer.
• For Questions 4 & 5, please make sure to read Chapter 14 to understand the terms and definitions before you post your response.
• Question 6 is an option. If you’d like to get some extra credits, complete the Connect activity. Three attempts are allowed. I will use the best score. It will be helpful for the course letter grade at the end of the semester, especially when the student is at the borderline (i.e., a course total of 89% can be moved to A, 79% can be moved to B).

You must read questions carefully and make sure to respond to all discussion questions. For your initial post, aim for approximately 7090words per question (yes, including all sub-questions), focusing on clear application rather than length. Longer responses do not earn additional credit.
