Before completing this week’s forum, please watch the following video(s) and/or read the following article(s):
Do some independent research and explain the different types of ‘hackers’ and the behavior of each type. Discuss some of the technological advances that have come as a result of ‘hacking.’ Given such advances, discuss your view on the idea that some level of ‘hacking’ current technologies is a necessity.
Regarding the Aaron Swartz story and case, discuss your views on the actions of Aaron Swartz, the university and the prosecutors.

Do a bit of your own research in addition to the reading and the videos. Describe an example of a business, corporation or other organization committing a crime against the environment. What was the damage? What was the punishment? How do we balance the need for energy with keeping the environment, citizens and communities safe and healthy?
